Parkway Ward Food Drive

To continue our ongoing support of the Sussex Food Pantry please bring bags of groceries to church for the next 3 weeks and leave in the kitchen.

Items needed:

• ramen noodles
• rice
• bean (baked, black, garbanzo)
• Hamburger helper, tuna helper
• Canned Chili and Beef Stew
• Apple Sauce, Mandarin Oranges
• Tomato Sauce
• Tomato paste
• Diced Tomatoes
• Jello
• Oatmeal

Sunday Lesson: Teaching for our Times

Sister Silla gave our lesson today from these two conference talks: Do We Know What We Have? by Sister Carole M. Stephens and Power in the Priesthood by Elder Neil L. Andersen.

Next week is Fast Sunday (March 30th) and we will be combined with the Priesthood for third hour.

Activity Recap: A Legacy of Sisterhood

We had such a lovely evening bonding as Sisters last Thursday. We enjoyed a delicious 'cafe rio style' salad bar, played a few games (guess how many candies in the jar, pin the pearls on Kate, and Relief Society get-to-know-you Bingo), and heard a beautiful message from Sister Fuhriman. She shared some wonderful stories of her ancestors and how they have shaped who she is today; how their legacy has been passed down to her. How blessed we are to be a part of the Parkway ward Relief Society and to build our legacy of sisterhood together!

Sunday Lesson: March 16

Sister Widman gave our lesson today. Lesson 6: The Significance of the Sacrament from the Joseph Fielding Smith manual. It was a great reminder of where our focus should be during the Sacrament and the importance of taking the Sacrament each week.

Next week's lesson will be Teaching for our Times.

Stake Relief Society Temple Fireside

Our Stake Womens Conference, which will be held in May, will be focusing on the temple. As part of that, we would like to assemble a slideshow of the sisters of our stake while at the temple. We're looking for photos from milestone temple events, such as weddings, sealings, first time attending, youth temple trips, etc. -- one or two photos that can be e-mailed would be best.
