Sister Silla gave our lesson today from these two General Conference talks:
Be Ye Converted by Sister Bonnie L. Oscarson
Draw Closer to Him by Elder Terence M. Vinson
Her main questions were:
What is the difference between having a testimony and being converted?
How do we know if we are moving closer to Him?
We spent the majority of time in groups discussing different quotes from the talks and coming up with what it means to be truly converted.
C - Conviction
O - Obedience (live principle first than gain a testimony and become converted)
N - not an event, but a process
V - view (envision the things of a better world)
E - entitled to a spiritual witness
R - Righteous principles are the foundation of our lives
S - Sacred covenants move us closer to Him
I - Increase in confidence
O - Our will aligns with His
N - notice how God is vying for our attention.
